The founders are the veterans of Latvian financial market Rihards Svelpe and Jūlija Svelpe, who in 2005 established a label PriBalt for activities in Eastern Europe investment market. It consolidates Svelpe family’s and Allies’ investments with the aim to gain profit from dividends and the increase of the value of enterprise. The allies are personas that trust the founders and want to increase their capital together.

Rihards Svelpe – was born in 1970 in Latvian city Balvi. Married, has three daughters. Education – autodidact. Studied at Riga Polytechnic University on Electroenergetic faculty and Faculty of Law at Latvian University. Perfected his knowledge at Baltic International Exchange Academy, Professional Evaluating University and Baltic Computer Academy. Achieved the qualification of lector and read lections on securities in BA School of Business and Finance and Baltic International Exchange Academy in all the three Baltic States: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Participated in the output of resolutions for the first Latvian securities’ market. Educated and certified stock brokers. Made a specially ordered by World Bank research on Latvian currency market. Wrote an educating series of articles on venture capital for the magazine The Baltic Course. Participated in many round-table discussions organized by Baltic International Academy and the magazine The Baltic Course. Participated in international investor conferences in Vienna, Warsaw and Geneva. Temporary participant and moderator at Latvian-Belarusian financial-investment forum. Performed with a speech The Baltic States: big possibilities of a small market at an investors’ conference Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry in the CIS and Baltic States in Geneva. Invited speaker at London investors’ forum CEE Private Equity Forum with the theme Deal Finding Experience in Baltics. Gold member of the international business net We Entrepreneurs Latvia, member of the Latvian Business Angels’ society and the participant at venture capital investors’ forum Seed Forum. An invited member by Eastern Europe region biggest private financial and venture capital fund Enterprise Investors (total amount of managed capital 1.7 billions Eiro) at the exclusive club MBI&MBO Club.

Jūlija Svelpe- certificated lawyer in second generation. Finished the Juridical faculty of Latvian University. Theme of the graduation paper Proof and its classification. While continuing her studies, worked on scientific research for Scientific Research Laboratory of the Ministry of the Interior until began working in financial industry. Worked in Juridical department of State's Social insurance fund, then in regression and complaint department and later in International service department. In 1997 moved to the private financial sector and joined the team of First Credit and Trade bank representers in Latvia. Later she became member of the board in the First Investment Fund. Represented the interests of the owner in a portfolio company Plaza Boutique. Increased her academical knowledge in venture management of enterprises and specialized in commercial law. Keeps contact with Stockholm Arbitration University. Participated in the round-table discussions of Baltic International Academy. Actively participates in conferences for the consolidation and acquisition in the Baltic States.
