Pribalt Capital founders began their activity in the financial market right from the recommencement of Latvian independence. They participated in the establishment and activity of first commercial banks. Were active participants of privatization voucher market. Participated in enterprises' privatization process. Completed transactions in exchange and outside exchange securities market. Also were one of the first to start enterprise purchase and sale transactions. Fishing industry enterprise's Brīvais vilnis controlling interest purchase transaction was called Year's transaction by Parex banks' analysts due to its amount, speed and organization. 

First started organized activity in the investment market: first as investment consultants, later - investment company and mean managing company. That is why PriBalt Capital founders were at the both sides of the table, that is were investors, entrepreneurs, investment consultants and enterprise consultants. Had both written and applied business plans to investors and banks, and received and decided upon its financing. They know how the financiers think, what is vital for one and what for the other. 

In addition to the financiers' experience, there is experience gained in real estate and hotel industry. From 1998 to 2004, Rihards Svelpe worked on the real estate development project creation and selling. Among those were dwelling village, urban blocks, several many - stories apartment houses, hotels and relaxation complexes development projects. 

One of the most interesting and most ambitious real estate projects was purchase, reconstruction, foundation of a boutique class hotel Ainavas of built in 15 century and being in emergency condition at that time building. Chosen investment project model provided a low cost level and short realization period. Western investment business colleagues highly rated the realization of this project and regretted that they themselves did not have enough courage for this. Moscow elite magazine The Best Interiors nominated this hotel in the category of Year's best interior. 

The realized hotel development project increased experience in crisis management. In couple of years hotel Ainavas went through fire and was nearly bankrupt. Tanks to the management of Rihards Svelpe, it was restored and maintained business.
